Jim Lambie : Fruitmarket Gallery

Edinburgh’s Fruitmarket Gallery hosted a solo exhibition by Scottish artist, Jim Lambie, as part of GENERATION, a series of exhibitions celebrating Scottish contemporary art over the last 25 years, and the Edinburgh Art Festival. Known for his visually striking pieces including his multicoloured floor ‘Zobop’, Lambie makes pieces of art out of everyday objects such as tinfoil, hangers and plastic bags. Although not specifically influenced by music, Lambie’s work often contains a musical reference of some sort such as vinyls or record players.
