Kate Gray : Mutatis Mutandis

Artist Kathryn Elkin showcases new work as part of the Collective Gallery’s Satellite programme, which fosters new Scottish art work. Elkin presents a video piece and installation exploring the abstraction and misdirection within language, object, body and memory.

Kathryn Elkin is an artist based in Glasgow. She is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art and Goldsmiths College, and participant of the LUX Associate Artists Programme 2012/13. Recent exhibitions and performances include: Speaking Art Writing, Whitechapel Gallery, London, Language Most Maketh the Man; Speak That I May See You! Goldsmiths College, London and Laying Down and Kissing the Love in the Mist, Kendal Koppe Gallery, Glasgow.

The Satellites Programme is an annual open submissions programme for emerging artists, which offers opportunities to be involved in a year long programme of exhibitions and events, and provides support for their artwork.

Mutatis Mutandis is on at the Collective Gallery, Edinburgh, until the 11th May 2014.
