Cityscape : Leith to Barcelona?

Architect Andrew Mackay and Community Councillor Dave Rushton mull over how Edinburgh might be better connected to Leith for walkers. They draw on inspiration from Barcelona’s Las Ramblas, the tree lined avenue that very successfully links the City to its rejuvenated port area, as powerful a legacy of siting the 1992 Olympics in this part of the city. This edition of Cityscape is a companion piece to Terry Frost and Steven Cardownie’s hopes and aspirations for Leith’s Ocean Terminal and re-siting of the Royal Yacht Britannia.
