It Surrounds Me – Part 2 is a continuation of work first started on a residency in Thailand, by artist jeweller, Fiona Hermse. Her initial focus was to create work that reflected the natural elements of her surroundings on the residency, everything from shoals of fish, to murmuration of starlings, and constructing pieces using delicate materials. Hermse’s current exhibition displays this development, weaving in themes of meditation, ephemerality and compassion, and producing pieces set within the galleries of St Margaret’s House.
