John McDougall introduces 2014 Frames‘ event from Merchant Square in Glasgow. This event is one of a series that are on alongside the Glasgow International Festival, and aim to showcase work from a selection of photographers from all over the world.

This inaugural season of 2014Frames celebrates the practice of making photographs in the hands of different groups and individuals working in their own regions, internationally. As such, the selection has no overarching theme but to celebrate photography in various guises; as art form, documentation, construction, narration. It will include a wide range of practices, some which will no doubt challenge.
