Artist Nathan Coley introduces his new light and text piece at Jupiter Artland’s summer opening. Drawn from a George Bernard Shaw quote, You Imagine What You Desire is presented as a large fairground sign, and explores that juxtaposition between the quote and certain seedier elements that can be associated with the circus.

Nathan Coley is a Glasgow-based artist who works in many media including sculpture, video, photography and drawing. His works have been shown internationally, whilst some of them also residing permanently in Scotland, including his text and light piece ‘There Will Be No Miracles Here’ at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

You Imagine What You Desire is on at the Steading Gallery, Jupiter Artland until 13th July 2014. It will then be relocated within the grounds as a permanent piece.
