Rosemary Taylor : Nothing is Ever Black and White

Since moving to Edinburgh 6 months ago, artist Rosemary Taylor has been fascinated by the vestiges of the industrial landscape in and around Edinburgh. Taylor’s paintings aren’t depicting a real place, but more an imagined landscape drawn from a selection of different locations. Primarily painted in black and white tones, the work has a brooding and edgy atmosphere and highlights the death of an industry that the country once thrived on.

Nothing is Ever Black and White is on at St.Margaret’s House, Edinburgh until the 6th July 2014.
