Painter Stuart Gibbs introduces his work from his Wasps’ Dennistoun studio, in Glasgow. Graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1989, Stuart went onto exhibit his work across the UK, Europe, and even as far as Japan.

Stuart works mostly in oil, painting landscapes and abstract figurative work. One of his projects, which was exhibited at The Briggait, was ‘The First Ladies of Football’, an exhibition that commemorated the many unsung heroes connected to the women’s game in Scotland from the first international match of 1881 to the success of Glasgow City in reaching the last 16 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2011.
