Artist and illustrator Alice Dansey-Wright set out to explore the artefacts and pieces of work in the American Museum in Britain, which showcases American decorative art, with the aim of developing new work based on their collections. Dansey-Wright’s core interest was the link between illustration and folk art, as well as customisation and individuality in a (digital) age of mass production.
